Ren Kids partners with parents to help children see, know, and love Jesus.

Our hope is that every child will begin a lifelong relationship with Jesus and learn to use their God-given gifts to serve him in the world. Ren Kids partners with parents to nurture each child’s relationship with Christ at each stage of development.

Children experience God’s love through listening to the stories of the Bible, learning spiritual practices, worshiping in a large group, and creatively expressing themselves. Unhurried and unplugged time allows children to pay attention to what God is saying to them. In our media-saturated world, this is a very important task of our church; to teach our children to slow down and listen to God and one another. Our curriculum engages children face-to-face with their teachers and peers.

Nursery (0–24 months)

Our youngest children in Ren Kids are introduced to God and the Bible through books, age-appropriate toys, and songs.

2s & 3s (24–48 months)

With our little ones, we use the Shine curriculum called Wee Wonder: Sharing God’s Love with Twos. It is a Bible-based curriculum just for two and three-year-olds. There are felt stories and craft cards are made in class with activities to take home to reinforce learning.

4s–Kindergarten

In our 4s/K classroom, we use the Shine Preschool/Kindergarten curriculum, a Bible-based curriculum that teaches children about prayer, spiritual practices, understanding the Bible, singing, and creative arts. There are also “Peace Notes,” which teach the children about loving and serving their neighbors around the world. Leaflets are sent home each week. Stories are told in a Montessori fashion with real wood props so that teachers and students can retell the story.

Elementary (1st–5th Grade)

In our Elementary classrooms, we use the Shine Elementary curriculum. It is a Bible-based curriculum that teaches children about prayer, spiritual practices, understanding the Bible, singing, and creative arts. There are also “Peace Notes,” which teach the children about loving and serving their neighbors around the world. Children interact with a “Spotlight Magazine” weekly at church or home.

Check-In

CheckIn

It only takes a moment to check in your children once you’re registered on Church Center. Just enter your phone number at the check-in station, select the names of the children attending, and your child’s name tag will print along with your parent tag, which you’ll need after the service to pick up your child.

If you haven’t filled out a Connect Card, you can enter your information now before arriving to make the check-in process even faster.

Child Dedication

Child Dedication

Child Dedications happen in the worship service throughout the year. This ceremony represents a commitment from Renaissance Chuch to support parents as they raise godly children. Please register your child to be dedicated during one of our upcoming services. You’ll be invited to attend a Child Dedication Class, which teaches the meaning of child dedication and how it differs from baptism.
