Church News
We are not having services in person at this time. However, we have services online and plan to offer limited in-person services as soon as possible. Our elders and staff are working on the details of meeting in person and preparing our new building. Please check back on our registration page for the latest information. We look forward to gathering together in person, but in the meantime, we believe we can continue to learn and grow together as a church by worshiping together in our homes with friends and family. You can still invite your friends by sharing this page.

Connection is important to us! We’re glad you want to be a part of Renaissance Church. Please fill out this online Connect Card or email us.

Thank you for your continued support through this challenging time. Your faithful giving is allowing Renaissance Church to adapt to change and continue our work in building disciples. For those who are able, we invite you to join our mission through giving. Even though we’re not gathering for church in person, you still have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others through the ministries of Renaissance Church. You can give online, text GIVE to 908-356-5546, or text RENAISSANCE to 45888. To designate Ren Cares for your giving, choose the Ren Cares fund online or text the amount along with the keyword CARES. To designate the Building Fund, choose Building Fund online or text the amount with the keyword BUILDING. More information is available on our giving page.

Prayer is an integral part of our lives as followers of Jesus. Members of the ePrayer Team lift up to God the needs of the Renaissance Church family.

  • NEW! Pray with the Prayer Team, every Sunday, 10–10:30 am: pray one-on-one with a Prayer Team member in Zoom breakout rooms

Ren Kids/Ren Students
Please know that your families will continue to be in our prayers as we navigate these circumstances together. Our hope is to keep your kids and students engaged and provide ways for them to grow spiritually. Here are some resources for you:

Ren Cares
In response to the unprecedented demand on the services provided by our partners, Ren Cares has accelerated its donations to help provide immediate support to those organizations (listed here, including World Vision, Samaritan’s Purse, Hope of Life, New York City Relief, and Union County Division of Child Protection and Permanency).

Renaissance Church encourages all of us to continue showing love and care for those around us. We encourage you to recognize when you need help and do not be afraid to ask. Also, realize that you have talents or resources that could help others. As a response to the coronavirus situation, Ren Cares is coordinating many activities that serve the Renaissance Church family such as prayer, remote contact, meal delivery, grocery shopping, pastoral care, and financial assistance. If you are in need of help, know someone who needs assistance, or would like to serve with Ren Cares, please email us.

Christmas for Kids
Ren Cares is collecting gifts from Renaissance Church for about 380 local children under the care of the county’s Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) as part of their child abuse prevention program. Select a family and find more details here.

While we will not be holding groups in person at our church building at this time, we encourage groups to continue supporting, praying for, and caring for each other remotely. Check in with each other by email, texts, and calls. There are several groups (including 20s/30s groups, Men’s Group, and Support Groups) using virtual tools (such as Facebook groups, Google Hangouts Meet, and Zoom) to continue meeting. Fall Support Groups are happening now and can be joined at any time. Community Groups, many of which will use guides to facilitate conversations around Sunday’s messages, are also taking place. Find more information about online groups here or email for more information.

Building Update
Now more than ever, we know Renaissance Church is not a building. It has always been and will always be the people who are working together to build the kingdom of God. We have begun moving into our new space, which will be a tool to help us accomplish our mission. More details
