New Series Starting March 19!
The Art of Seeing Jesus

Seeing Jesus . . . No pursuit is more important! If Jesus were simply an important historical figure who founded Christianity, he’d be worth seeing. But, He’s so much more than that.

Throughout history gifted artists have portrayed aspects of Jesus’ life, ministry, death, and resurrection in their works. They’ve given us their interpretations of what we’ve read in Scripture. Seeing Jesus from their perspectives can give us a new appreciation for who he is and what he’s done, and how our lives can be changed as we see him and get to know him.

In The Art of Seeing Jesus we’ll examine six Biblical narratives through the eyes of three influential Renaissance artists. Starting with Judas betraying Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane and ending with Jesus’ resurrection, we’ll use seven paintings to help us better understand and appreciate what Jesus did for us during the last week of his life on earth.

Beginning on March 19 we’ll be looking at Jesus through the eyes of a rebel, a visionary, and a legend. Whether you’re new to Christianity or you’ve been a follower of Jesus your entire life, we hope you’ll join us for The Art of Seeing Jesus.

Seeing Jesus in the Passover
April 9 at 4:00 pm

In the middle of April, we’ll be celebrating Good Friday and Easter at the same time as our Jewish friends and neighbors are celebrating Passover. It’s not a coincidence that these holidays occur at the same time. In fact, Passover is actually an integral part of the foundation of Good Friday and Easter!

On April 9 Mitchell Chwatt will be leading a seminar on Seeing Jesus in the Passover. Mitchell is a Jewish believer in Jesus who has been part of Renaissance for the past 3 years. As a Jewish Christian who has studied both the Old and New Testaments extensively, Mitchell brings a unique perspective from which he can help us discover more of the Jewish foundations of our Christian faith.

Join us at 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 9 for our Seeing Jesus in the Passover seminar. You’ll come away with a better understanding of Passover, Good Friday, and Easter; as well as a greater appreciation for the amazing way God worked throughout history to prepare for the coming of our Messiah, Jesus.

*No RSVP needed. No Childcare available.
